Mold and mildew is a fungus that grows in moist, warm environments.

You can identify both mold and mildew by its color, either shades of pink, brown or black, that covers the surface. It can also leave an unpleasant musty, sour odor behind.

Mold or mildew will take root on fabric, wood, sheetrock, paper, and most bathroom surfaces in a high humidity and warm environment.


There are a variety of causes for mold & mildew. Some are poor air circulation, not enough lighting, and damp areas.

When your kids are playing in the yard or you’re on your knees doing yard work, it can be quite common to get grass stains on the knees of our pants.
